Solid State Variable Speed AC Electric Motor Control, 2.5 Max amp, 115V

The control offers an infinite variable speed for shaded pole and PSC motors. The maximum amps indicate that the amperage on the motor name plate must not exceed this rating, as it can cause damage to both the control and the motor. It is essential for the motor to run with enough torque to prevent stalling, as a motor that is not turning will overheat. Additionally, the motor must have a fan blade installed on the shaft (direct drive) to cool it, and it should not be used with gear motors. Please note that controls that have been installed cannot be returned. This product is designed to fit into a standard 2" x 4" electrical wall box and has a 2.5 max amp rating at 115 volts. It is UL and CSA approved and should not be used with capacitor start or capacitor run motors. This control is suitable for applications involving fans, blowers, fireplace blowers, attic fans, humidifiers, and ventilators.
